RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT, 2005

 

17 items (manuals) prescribed in clause (b) sub-section 1 of section 4 which every public authority is required to publish within one hundred and twenty days

from the enactment of the Act   

 

 

RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT, 2005 (hereinafter referred as Act) provide for setting out the practical regime of right to information for citizens to secure access to information under the control of public authorities, in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority. HSCC (India) Ltd, Noida is a Public Sector Enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

 

In compliance of sub-clause (b), section 4(1), Chapter-II of the Act, the information in respect of HSCC is placed as under:

I. Particulars of organization, functions & duties

 

HSCC (India) Ltd, is a Government of India Undertaking under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The company renders comprehensive range of professional consultancy services in health-care and other social sectors, in India and abroad. HSCC is a                pluri-disciplinary organization with experienced professionals (i.e health planners and economists, doctors, bio-medical engineers, computer experts, pharmacists, architects and public health engineers etc) on rolls and a network of consultants specialized in various activities associated with health systems.

 

Main activities of the company address themselves to all levels of the health system pyramid and encompass conceptual studies, health care facilities design, project management, procurement and supply, logistics and installation, commissioning and skill enhancement through training and re-training.

 

II. Powers and duties of Officers and employees

 

HSCC is registered under the Companies Act, 1956 and operates as a commercial organization under the administrative control of the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The powers of company officials have been defined in the “Delegation of Powers”. The duties are assigned from time to time.

The company has regular interface with various Government Officials/Committees and is open to checks and balances through regular audit of systems as applicable to PSUs.
